The European Association for Vision on Eye Research (EVER) organizes its congress "EVER 2010" from 6^th to 9^th of October, 2010 in the Creta Maris Convention Centre, Hensonissons in Crete, Greece. MEACO is organizing a session on "Uveitis in the Middle East" during the congress. The aim of this session is to provide a comprehensive review of the available data on the pattern of the causes and common systemic disease associations of uveitis in the Middle East. A session titled "Eye Bank Development: Overview of Key Issues" is to be held during the AAO/MEACO Joint Meeting in Chicago. It is organized by the Middle East Africa Eye Banks Organization (MEAEBO) in collaboration with Midwest Eye Banks, Vision Share, Eye Banks Association of America (EBAA). The session will be held on the October 17, 2010 at the Midwest Eye-Banks/Illinois Eye Bank, Chicago from 8:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m including lunch. It will discuss the challenges of eye bank in Middle East and Africa and review key factors for success in developing a working eye bank. The Midwest eye banks/Illinois Eye bank will be used to practically demonstrate the administrative, laboratory and system requirements of a successful eye bank. MEACO is organizing Oculoplastics and Glaucoma courses in the forthcoming Ophthalmological Society of Nigeria Conference on September 16-18,2010 that will be held in Abuja, Nigeria. The oculoplastics course is to be held on September 17, 2010. It is titled "Comprehensive guide to basic techniques in Lid & Lacrimal Surgery".
